Power systems from an electrical cabinet. You can connect a maximum of 8 GPIO modules to one Sensor Bridge, each capable of controlling 16 relays, bringing the total number of relays to 128. Relays in this example have four SPDT-contacts (4PDT), as in image below.
This application will be useful for you, if you need:
- Control relays or GPIO using HTTP-communications capable environment (Python, S7, Embedded systems, Scripts running on a PC)
- Connect to multiple relays (max. 128)
- Use the same hardware to control existing IO or low power transducers
Connect Sensor to either a PoE switch or other suitable DC power source using the screw terminals.
Connect the ethernet cable to the same network as the device you want to control it with.
Connect the GPIO module to Sensor Bridge using the screw terminals.
Wire the relay to a DC power supply (12 V is used in the example) and to the GPIO.
Connect the load though the relay. In this example mains voltage is used to power a power socket.
