<_e_06hM>The purpose of my project is to help honor the life of Takeshi "Terry" Watanabe, who was killed in a hit and run in late October (while trying to stop the driving from stealing company property). Terry was a responsible, role model worthy person who had a passion for his family, the outdoors, and unbeknownst to many art.
It was Terry's dream to become an artist. The design on the ornament is from a Christmas card he made for his wife. This ornament is meant to keep the memory of Terry in hearts of many. As well as the precious reminder to remind those we close to how much we love them, for it is impossible to predict the last time we will see them (as his young son Ken put it before leaving to the Marines).
I've sold a hand full of these memorial ornaments to people in the community. So far I have raised $120 for Terry's family with them.
