Display User Panel is one of those simple concepts, which you look and think, that is just what I need.
Having just designed two other large boards, namely the ESPKnack and IPEM Plus, I needed an easy to interface and compact user board, that I could also optionally mount in a DIN enclosure.
Suitable also for ESP SDKs, Arduino Boards, Raspberry Pi's, STM Boards etc.
The new Display User Panel is a STEM board which allows input and output from SDKs.
Display User Panel is a single small board, with two interface connectors.
The board has been designed to be reverse mounted, so hiding all the SMT and connections from the facia.
- Front Facing Panel
- Tactile Buttons (Rear Mounted)
- LED (Rear Mounted)
- RGB LED - WS2812 Compatible (Rear Mounted)
- MicroSD Card Holder
- Type C USB Port
- OLED I2C Port
- Expansion Interface (12 way JST 1mm )
- SPI Interface (6 way JST 1mm )
- PCB Size 79.25 mm x 70.1 mm
The Display User Panel was originally designed as a display panel for the ESPKnack, and then subsequently for the IPEM Plus.
The concept was to allow easy interfacing to an existing SDK boards, with LEDs and Tactile Buttons, plus a MicroSD Card holder.
Suitable also for ESP SDKs, Arduino Boards, Raspberry Pi's, STM Boards etc.
Two interfaces are provided.
- Expansion Interface. This providing all the GPIO s for the User Interface, including I2C
These are both JST 1mm SH connectors.
- SPI Interface. This providing the SPI interface for the MicroSD Card. This includes 3V3 Power
- OLED Interface. This has two positions but using the same connections.0.96" OLED1.1" OLED
Pin assignments can be found in the Wiki Pages.
MechanicalThe board is designed to fit/clip into the top of a Vange DIN Enclosure. It does not require any screws or clips, as the enclosure facilitates the board to be clipped in to the molding.
