Setup Unity Environment For Building An AR Tango App
Read more- I am using Unity version 5.3.4
- Download the Tango Unity Package at: https://github.com/lmalave/tango-basic/blob/master/UnitySDKs/TangoSDK_Gemma_Unity5.unitypackage
- Double click the newly downloaded file, which will open Unity and prompt you to import the assets
- Click 'Import' with all selected
- In the 'Project' panel, go to Assets/TangoSDK/Examples/Scenes, double click on “AugmentedReality”
- Click File/'Build and Run' with your Tango plugged into your computer, and you should be able to plop Markers wherever you click.
When “Build and Run” for Android, “Unable to find SDK”:
- Open Android Studio and make/open a project
- Open ‘Preferences’ and go to ‘Appearance & Behavior’/‘System Settings’/‘Android SDK’, and copy the ‘Android SDK Location’
- In Unity, go to Preferences, External Tools, and paste the location of the Android SDK
When “Build and Run” for Android, “Unable to merge android manifests”, or "Failed to recompile android resource files":
- Install the command line tool for Android SDK: Under the section: "Get just the command line tools" from this link: https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html
- Unzip the folder and move it to wherever you want
- In Unity, go to Preferences, External Tools, and paste the location of that folder in Android SDK
- In Inspector/Player Settings, Minimum API Level has to be API Level 17
When “Build and Run” for Android, “Bundle Identifier not setup correctly”:
- In Inspector/Player Settings, enter Bundle Identifier: com.XXX.XXX , where you replace the XXX with anything you want (for example: com.Andy.Testing
