Introduction:
First of all I wanna thank QuickLogic Corp. and SensiML and hackster.io for this great challenge and providing me the hardware kit. My project is about monitoring the pollution at industries with large towers. Using a Drone intgrated with QuickFeather Development Kit we can easily monitor the pollution level at higher altitudes.
Due to shortage of components and a strick lockdown in my region. I was not able to ccomplete my project. However I've documented my work completed till date.
Problem Statement:
Consider a large industry where emission of pollutants are higher. It is very difficult to monitor the concentration of toxincs in such regions, since the height of the emission tower is large. So to monitor the concentration of gases in the region I've came up with an idea of integrating the QuickFeather and SensiML AI Software in a drone.
Idea or Solution:
I'm planning to integrate QuickFeather and SensiML AI Software Bundle into a drone so that it is possible to monitor the air quality in the places where a human can't enter or a place hazardous for human beings. My solution is totally different from the existing solutions, since it is capable of flying to desired places where a human can't reach. This saves time, human life and risks.
My proposed solution consists of a drone integrated with onboard jetson nano and QuickFeather module. So it is possible to take the drone with integrated QuickFeather module inorder to monitor the places which can't be reached by humans. I'll be using QuickFeather to collect atmospheric data from the desired place and will be proceesing it with the help of SensiML AI Software python package.
QuickFeather Development Kit:
The QuickFeather Development Kit is a small form factor system ideal for enabling the next generation of low-power Machine Learning (ML) capable IoT devices. Unlike other development kits which are based on proprietary hardware and software tools, QuickFeather is based on open source hardware, compatible with the Adafruit Feather form factor, and is built around 100% open source software (including the Symbiflow FPGA Tools).
Integration of QuickFeather Development Kit:
I planned to integrate the QuickFeather Development Kit with the drone along with Nvidia Jetson Nano. However due to shortage of components I was not able to complete the entire project.
