π Avnet QCS6490 Vision-AI DK at EVS'24 // Demo
Meet the QCS6490 Vision-AI Development Kit! At Embedded Vision Summit, Peter Fenn of Avnet's Advanced Applications Group showed us what this board (a collaboration between Avnet and Qualcomm) can do β running four different live AI vision demos at once. The SoM, featuring Qualcomm's QCS6490 SoC, includes a hefty CPU-GPU-NPU combo with 13 TOPS of compute from the Qualcomm AI Engine NPU alone. Along with plenty of memory and an Adreno 633 vision processor, the entire SoM is SMARC-compliant and ready to embed into a finished product. The Development Kit's carrier board sports plenty of camera, display, and audio capabilities, plus two M.2 slots and a 40-pin connector compatible with many Raspberry Pi HATs.
