One day, you may find yourself getting ready for an important Zoom meeting with one problem: you don’t have a webcam nearby or hooked up! If you’re faced with that situation, you can always use the Game Boy Camera. Luckily, RetroGameCouch already has the solution to such an ordeal. The only downside is that the video quality and resolution aren’t spectacular by any means.

RetroGameCouch provided a pretty simple setup for this project despite leaving the Game Boy Camera untouched. He connected it to the Super Game Boy and inserted it into his Super Nintendo. Then, the SNES’ output transfers through an HDMI upscaler, and stops in an HDMI capture device. He also modified his SNES with component video.

Ultimately, this whole project outputs a live video feed from the Game Boy Camera onto the computer screen via a standard USB video device compatible with any webcam software. However, you need to wait a bit before the webcam turns on.
