Do you have an old speakers lying around somewhere? Rather than just letting them sit there collecting dust or tossing ‘em away, Paul Cocksedge has another idea: give them a new lease on life. Introducing the Vamp Stereo and the Vamp Speaker.
If the name sounds familiar, that’s because Cocksedge launched a campaign back in 2013 for a small, cube-shaped device dubbed the Vamp. This unit was able to save old stereos from obsolescence by transforming them into Bluetooth speakers.
Following in its footsteps, the recently-revealed Vamp Stereo is an amplifier that converts any two speakers into a portable Bluetooth stereo system. Position the Vamp Stereo anywhere on the speaker, link it with any of your Bluetooth devices, and voilà!
Now what happens if you don’t have a pair of speakers but still want to enjoy the Vamp experience? Enter the Vamp Speaker. Attach the Vamp Speaker to the Vamp Stereo, connect it with any of your Bluetooth gadgets, and experience great sound from a truly sustainable speaker made out of recycled materials.
With all of these products, Cocksedge is on a mission to reduce electronic waste — particularly those associated with music and audio equipment. You can read more about the Vamp ethos in this Co.Design article, and then back the Vamp Stereo and Vamp Speaker on Kickstarter!
