Growing up, who didn’t use a TI graphing calculator? Now, what if that same device could now help bring your projects to life? Introducing the TI-Innovator Hub, a classroom tool that introduces students to coding and engineering design.

The TI-Innovator Hub is a palm-sized box with a built-in TI LaunchPad Board that plugs into the calculator just about every student aleady owns, a TI-84 Plus CE or a TI-Nspire CX, and allows them to analyze and explain the world around them. For example, students can start by learning to write a program to play a single note, and then put together sounds at different frequencies to play a song.

The TI-Innovator has been created with middle and high school students in mind. Consequently, it is enclosed in a durable case to protect against wear and tear, and can be shared and used by several students at once.

The product was part of a pilot experiment at Heritage Middle School in Deltona, Florida. You can read more about TI’s latest STEM solution here.
