The Trickstick is a high-resolution, handheld persistence of vision display. Just wave the wand-like device in front of you and watch a colorful, detailed image (or GIF) appear out of thin air.

The Trickstick is equipped with 128 RGB LEDs, an accelerometer, a BLE module, and a rechargeable battery. Two buttons on the front allow standalone navigation of stored images, along with some basic display adjustments.

The gadget connects to an accompanying Android and iOS app over Bluetooth, which enables a user to wirelessly load, crop and manage images as well as modify the modes and parameters remotely.

The Trickstick can hold a bunch of images and animations, which can be pulled from anywhere, even your phone’s photo gallery. From there, it’s as simple as setting it in motion, limited only by physics and your imagination.

Have you ever wished you could carry your bike spoke persistence of vision device at all times? Then you will love the Trickstick. Think light painting photos are sweet…but sometimes prefer instant gratification? You will love the Trickstick. Do you love flashy lights or want to attract attention any time its dark? Anywhere!? Entertain children (or adults)? Tell a story with pictures? If so, then the Trickstick may be right for you!

Pretty rad, right? Head over to its Kickstarter page to learn more.
