When growing up, you probably pictured robotic assistants scurrying around to help with chores or other useful functions. The Robelf may not clean your house or fetch you food, but it can patrol the area looking for anything out of place!

As seen in the interesting video, the robot can also be used in an office scenario, perhaps scanning for workers who weren’t efficient enough at their tasks to leave at 5:00. Besides security functions, Robelf can act as a personal assistant, giving you pertinent information for the day, recording family memories with its removable camera, or even nagging your children about “daily lessons” that need to be learned.

Though the Indiegogo campaign video may seem slightly strange, the robot features some really interesting technology, like a touchscreen that rotates for optimal ergonomic positioning, a built-in iBeacon system, facial recognition to detect unwanted guests, and automatic charging capabilities. Definitely worth a look!
