There are all different kinds and styles of MIDI controllers on the market that allow users to create a ton of different sounds, but none that can accomplish the same in such as small form factor as This.Is.Noise’s Noise Machine. The portable, wireless MIDI controller can fit in the palm of your hand (5.4 cm x 6.3cm x 1.4cm), but despite its minimalistic design, it still offers a full range of notes, octaves, channels and modes, plus the ability to connect to most major DAWs.

This.Is.Noise designed the Noise Machine using 12 tactile buttons, each corresponding to a note on the musical scale. A slider is also positioned on top of the controller that enables users to play across a seven-octave range and a programmable MIDI expansion knob. As mentioned earlier, the Noise Machine can connect to the most popular DAWs and on the usual devices, including iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac. What’s more, users can connect up to 12 different channels on a single unit, allowing them play with one device in each hand or an entire ensemble.

The Noise Machine comes with three modes, with the first being Standard, which lets users play as a standard MIDI controller. It also features Split mode, which as its name suggests, splits the 12 buttons into two separate channels, giving users the ability to play two separate instruments. Finally, there's Loop mode that plays back a sequence of notes at programmable BPMs.

This.Is.Noise is currently crowdfunding the Noise Machine on Kickstarter, with pledges starting around $68, which gets you the MIDI controller and a USB Type-C charger.
