Ever wish you could bring some Euro-like instant replay magic to your foosball table? Well, Stefan Wehner has done just that using a Raspberry Pi to run the UI, a Raspberry Pi camera module to record video, a TV to relive the shots, and an Arduino Nano and IR barrier to detect goals.

The DIY system impressively features automatic scorekeeping, slow-motion replay of the last goal, and even YouTube uploads. What’s more, Wehner’s project integrates with HipChat so he could send YouTube URLs and report game progress.

The Maker has included five push buttons right behind the traditional score posts so that he and the other players can interact with the UI to perform various tasks: increase or decrease score for each team, reset the score, request manual replays, or upload their latest replay to YouTube.

Pretty cool, right? You can read all abut the build, along with its hardware setup, on its GitHub page here.
