Have you always wanted your own in-home arcade machine? Of course you have, just like Jonathan Russel at TechWizTime, who goes over an excellent DIY fighting stick solution for the Raspberry Pi — perfect for classic games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat!

The device features a Zippy joystick, along with six buttons on top and two more buttons at the front for start and select. In addition to this, the kit includes a pair of speakers that, while good if you don’t have another sound source available, aren’t exactly going to wake the neighbors.

It looks like an excellent arcade controller when set up, and as he notes, it’s best to read the instructions while assembling, which should take around 40 minutes if you’re careful. As an extra bonus, it can even be used with any Windows PC via a USB extension cable.
