If you’d like to use both an Arduino and Raspberry Pi together, this sequencer project might be inspirational. Paraphrasing creator “modulogeek’s” description, this is what you get when you combine those elements with a Monome grid interface device, a bunch of servos, LEGO bricks, and a glockenspiel (commonly mistaken for a xylophone).

The Monome allows one to select a point on a grid, signifying both the note and when it should be played. As the beat progresses, the selected notes are played on the glockenspiel by LEGO bricks attached a servo via a coffee stirrer. As for why LEGOs and a glockenpiel, modulogeek says that “his toddler already has them so he just borrowed.” Great to see someone using readily-available resources in a hack!
