The Prusa CORE One has been available for about 10 months now and while it hasn’t sold in huge numbers, it has been pretty well-regarded by owners. However, the build volume is on the small side and that has limited its adoption. Now, Prusa has released the CORE One L to solve that problem.

The most obvious upgrade here is to the build volume. The CORE One has a build volume of 250×220×270mm, while the CORE One L increases that to 300×300×330mm. Do the math and you’ll find that is exactly twice the volume. But the machine itself isn’t that much bigger—Prusa says there is only a 10% increase in overall machine size.

There are a few other upgrades, too. The most exciting of those is the new heatbed design, which Prusa engineered to improve heat distribution. A lot of printers with large beds struggle to heat their beds evenly, so the CORE One L’s AC convection heatbed is a big deal. Fans and an automatic vent help to maintain a set chamber temperature, improving printing results with many materials.

If you want a Prusa CORE One L, you don’t need to wait to buy one. It is already available for sale at $1,799, with an estimated lead time of three to four weeks. Prusa CORE One L units are manufactured in both Prague and Prusa’s new factory in Delaware, which should alleviate tariff concerns for US customers.
