PrintPods Can Print Designs on All Types of Surfaces and Materials
This portable printer you put your logo on stones, glass, mugs, wood, metal, plastic, leather, and even food.
Evebot, a 3D printing startup, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its PrintPod, a portable device that can print on any material and surface. It has a single cartridge and comes with three different ink options, which can all be switched quickly. Compatible with Android and iOS, PrintPods connect to WiFi to print out any design. The PrintPod can be purchased for as low as $99.
With a straightforward glide, PrintPods is capable of printing on all kinds of surfaces or materials, such as stones, glass, mugs, wood, metal, plastic, leather, and even food. It features three different ink options: skin-friendly ink (comes in navy/red/blue/black), non-removable ink (black), and invisible ink (can only be seen under UV light). The skin-friendly ink is 100% safe, non-corrosive, water-soluble, and non-irritating, which means that decorations and bodyworks can be designed with the setting spray. Low-cost custom logos can be created in small batches, which can be printed on any object that needs durable, non-removable ink. With the quick-switch ink types, it’s easy to go from one option to another, depending on what’s needed.
PrintPods’s app is compatible with Android and iOS devices, allowing an image to be uploaded, which can be printed by pressing “print.” It also comes preloaded with hundreds of different in-app patterns. Designs can be printed over 3,500 times from a single cartridge. The 500mAh battery makes it possible to print 1000+ times, amazing. It’s very affordable to print any design, costing only $0.01.
Additionally, this handheld printer is equipped with an advanced pulley sensor that’s capable of detecting and responding to movements, allowing faster print times with improved accuracy. PrintPods excels in its print width. It has a two-times wider printing width, doubling the output while getting more done in each pass.
I was just about to back the campaign, but realized I don't have anything to brand!
