When you go to a store, after a purchase they generally hand you a receipt that you probably don’t read, perhaps stuffing it in your pocket in case you don’t like your toilet paper or frozen burrito. Perhaps you’ve never really thought about what prints them, but with the proper hardware, things could get quite interesting.
“Muth Pierre” decided to do just that, by attaching a small thermal printer to a Raspberry Pi Zero, a camera module, and a Sharp Memory LCD. Thus was born the PolaPi-Zero, “yet another Polaroid-like instant camera.”
After taking a picture, a black and white image pops out of it’s 3D-printed frame, hopefully impressing all of your hipster friends. You can see the first version of the device here, or check out the printer itself on Adafruit.
