PrinCube Is a Color Printer That Fits in the Palm of Your Hand
PrinCube fits in your hand, prints 14.29mm width color images on multiple surfaces.
Today, when you need to mark something, there are a variety of options, from stick-on labels, to a laser engraver, to simple markers. These can work well depending on the situation, but if you’d rather print a digital image directly onto something — nearly anything — you should really check out the PrinCube, now on Indiegogo.
The PrinCube enables you to program in the design you’d like to print, then you drag it along a surface to have it output text, emojis, and other images wherever you want. The handheld device prints out a maximum single-pass height of 14.29 mm, or just over ½ an inch, and print for 1.3 meters/4.26 feet. Dimensions can be extended with multi-line printing, though you’ll need to keep track of its alignment.
PrinCube can print on plastic, wood, cloth, and more, and can handle uneven and curved surface as well. Ink cartridges can print up to 415 pages, enough for a year’s worth of use, and the battery canstandby for a full year (or print for 6 full hours) before needing to be charged. When it is time to plug it in, it has a convenient USB C port, allowing charging it without trying to insert the cord four times.
While it likely won’t replace your laser engraver for everything, it looks like an excellent tool for those that love to make things! Perhaps best of all, PrinCube is estimated to ship in November, so you won't have to wait long to get one!
