Powerful LED Glove “Slows Down” Time

Hacker “MadGyver” is doing something impossible, slowing down time in order to make objects like a fan, drill, and even a subwoofer appear to stop in their tracks. He can even make them move slowly or in reverse by moving his hand. While you might assume something like this is “TV magic,” the effect can actually be seen in real life.

The trick behind this hack is that in the palm of his time-warping glove is a “Monster LED” controlled by an Arduino Nano. The LED can act as a strobe light, shining at the same frequency as whatever item the user is observing, making it appear to stop time.

Frequency can then be adjusted with a potentiometer at the base of the glove, or via an accelerometer in order to make it appear to rotate one way or another.
