Play Overwatch with Fidget Spinners

Thought the fidget spinners craze was over? As seen here, Twitch streamer “Rudeism” has found yet one more use for these gadgets, melding five of them into a unique Overwatch control setup for the character Genji.

Each of his spinners are set up on its own rotary encoder, linked to an Arduino board as an interface device. One of them has to be constantly spun for forward movement, and another dictates which way he turns. The button functionality on the encoders is also used to accomplish actions such as jumping, shooting, and requesting healing.

Per his Reddit post, he’s not going to win many battles with the controller, but it at least makes for an entertaining stream!
