Steven Abadie and Harris Kenny, of consultancies Ninebark and Kenny Consulting Group respectively, have announced the impending launch of a market intelligence platform aimed specifically at the open source hardware community: OSHdata.com.

"Over the last decade I've gained a strong connection and respect for the open hardware community," Abadie writes of the impending project's inspiration. "To help that community continue to grow, [Harris Kenny] and I have started https://oshdata.com — a market intelligence service for OSH [open source hardware]."

"Pricing, companies, market size," Kenny adds by way of explaining what the platform will offer. "We're exploring it all to help grow this community!"

Details on exactly how the platform will operate have not yet been released, though the pair explain it will be "for people with commercial interest in OSH products and businesses." Fields of interest on offer include product certification, supply and resale, pure research, and even information for those simply acting as a customer of an open source hardware supplier.

"OSHdata will share insights about commercial aspects of Open Source Hardware, from pricing and sales to adoption and market size," the pair explain. "For entrepreneurs, engineers, and the curious. People like you."

Interested parties can sign up for more information on OSHdata.com now. No launch date has yet been provided.
