Since you’re reading Hackster’s blog, you either have an oscilloscope or would like one but feel they are too expensive. Or perhaps you simply haven’t found one in an enclosure that looked fun enough for your taste. Either way, engineering student Vítor Barbosa’s multiScope is worth a look.

“When turned off, it looks like an ordinary toy car that would entertain a kid for hours, but actually it is an oscilloscope kit in disguise!” (📷: Vítor Barbosa)

The most obvious feature of this ‘scope is that it’s housed inside of a model car, which looks less out-of-place than you might think. The next, and quite possibly more useful feature, is that it can also act as an inductance meter in order to measure home-wound induction coils.

The device can even measure ambient temperature and pressure, if you feel like adding that functionality. The design is based on the STM-32-O-Scope, and as such, uses an STM32F103C8T6 dev board for control.
