Exciting news! We're thrilled to announce that MakerTrain is making a special stop at FAB25, the renowned international FabLab conference taking place in the Czechia this July. Thanks to Hackster and Nordic Semiconductor, an extraordinary hands-on experience awaits participants.
MakerTrain Challenge recap
Earlier this year, Hackster and Nordic Semiconductor invited Hackster PRO members, including Hendra Kusumah, Sachin Soni, and myself, to propose innovative workshops utilizing the new Nordic Thingy:91 X, Nordic's latest prototyping platform for cellular IoT applications. The challenge was to design a captivating, hands-on curriculum for 20 participants, inspiring creativity, fostering new connections, and enhancing their maker skills.
Out of several submissions, three contenders — Hendra Kusumah, Sachin Soni, and me — were recognized for delivering exceptional projects. Kusumah received the Base Award for his outstanding proposal, while Soni and I secured travel grants to bring our workshops directly to FAB25.
Workshop details

Whether you’ve been building connected devices for years or just love to tinker and explore, this workshop is for you. We’ll go hands-on, learn together, and have a lot of fun diving into the world of cellular IoT with the Nordic Thingy:91 X.
