With the advent of development boards like Raspberry Pi and Arduino, electronics experimentation has become more accessible than ever. Then again, where do you put all the wires and other bits?
Mike, a Maker from Dayton, Ohio came up with an innovative, or rather “vintage” solution, housing his Pi 3 along with batteries, a 10.1" LCD screen, a battery charger, and some other needed components inside of a cigar box, reminiscent to what some tinkerers used to hold crystal radios in the mid-20th century.
Today, with its display mounted on the lid, the aptly named VintagePi makes an excellent enclosure, sort of like a very small wooden notebook. What’s more, it costs less than $200.
