If you want to listen to NPR One’s audio content, you could download an app on your phone. But did you know the tiny Raspberry Pi Zero makes an excellent standalone streaming device as well?

As seen in the video below, Noe and Pedro Ruiz build their own streaming box for Adafruit emblazoned with an NPR logo.

Streaming audio is nothing new for Pi aficionados (this one is programmed in Node.js), but what really sets this project apart is the case build. Using both 3D-printing and routing techniques, the design allows all the components to attach by simply snapping them into place. Since conductive filament was used, the control buttons, attached to the case with conductive paint, work as capacitive sensors.
