Arduboy consoles are beloved in maker, gamer, and engineer communities, but new model drops are pretty rare lately. That’s why fans should be really excited about the release of the new Arduboy FX-C. However, it is a limited edition that is almost sold out, so you may want to jump on it!

The Arduboy FX-C is similar to the previously released Arduboy FX (sold out), but with a key upgrade: a switch from a micro-USB port to a USB-C port. Everyone loves USB-C, but this is more than just a convenience. The USB-C port enables the use of a Multiplayer Link Cable to allow for multiplayer gaming between two consoles, like the Game Boy models from decades ago.

That’s very exciting, but the Arduboy FX-C production is small. The Standard Edition is already sold out. The Founders Edition only has 148 units remaining (of 500 total). The Multiplayer Pack, which includes two FX-C consoles, only has 34 units remaining (of 200 total).

If you hurry, you can get the Arduboy FX-C Founders Edition for $99 or the Multiplayer Pack for $178. They’re both pre-orders and consoles should ship in December.
