Holybro, a UAV hardware manufacturer delivering high-quality components for the drone industry since 2014, is excited to make available the Pixhawk 6X and Pixhawk 6C flight controllers this month, built on the Pixhawk® open standard.

Holybro’s Pixhawk 6X and 6C will be the latest update to the successful family of Pixhawk flight controllers. The two flight controllers have different form factors and function for different needs, both have the powerful H7 processor and can withstand the most demanding applications and work conditions.

Pixhawk 6X has a modular design, it can provide easy extensibility. Holybro provides two different Pixhawk baseboards for different vehicle sizes. While the pixhawk 6C has a cost-effective all-in-one design and low profile form factor.

Holybro is the manufacturer behind industry favorites Pixhawk® 4, Durandal, KakuteF7, and PX4® Vision Dev Kit, which earned them the trust of the drone industry, thanks to their top-notch quality and reliability, paired with outstanding customer support.

Pixhawk 6X key design points

  • High-performance STM32H753 processor
  • Modular flight controller: separated IMU, FMU, and Base system connected by a 100-pin and a 50-pin Pixhawk® Autopilot Bus connector.
  • Redundancy: 3x IMU sensors and 2x barometer sensors on separate buses
  • Triple redundancy domains: Completely isolated sensor domains with separate buses and separate power control
  • Newly designed vibration isolation system to filter out high frequency vibration and reduce noise to ensure accurate readings
  • Ethernet interface for high-speed mission computer integration
  • IMUs are temperature-controlled by onboard heating resistors, allowing optimum working temperature of IMUs

Pixhawk 6C key design points

  • High-performance STM32H743 processor with more computing power and RAM
  • New cost-effective design with low-profile form factor
  • Newly designed integrated vibration isolation system to filter out high frequency vibration and reduce noise to ensure accurate readings
  • IMUs are temperature-controlled by onboard heating resistors, allowing optimum working temperature of IMUs

Drone kits

Holybro also offers various DIY drone kits that will help you get flying in no time.

One of the newest versions is the X500 v2 ARF kit, where ARF stands for “Almost-Ready-to-Fly." It is very easy to assemble which is best for beginners and pilots that like to spend time flying instead of assembling.

Add a flight controller, power module, battery, RC radio and receiver, and you will be good to go.
