GoCV, the Go language package for computer vision based on OpenCV, has just released a new update.

You didn't know that you could use Go for computer vision, including hardware acceleration of vision models? Known for its concurrency and network support, the Go language is an excellent way to deploy high-performance computer vision applications on edge and cloud devices.

GoCV has already been around for a few years, and is in active use all over the planet. Adding support for the new OpenCV 4.12 lets developers use the latest features and optimizations in the bedrock of open source computer vision software.

Of course there are also other new features and fixes in this release, thanks to the community of contributors and developers. For example, additions to the CUDA support for hardware accelerated operations, and ViT DNN trackers.

It is a great time to see what GoCV and OpenCV can help you do with your computer vision applications. Full release info is located here — check it out!
