YouTuber “The Raspberry Pi Guy” has managed to build his own fully-fuctional electric longboard with a Raspberry Pi Zero. Perhaps what’s most impressive is that it’s capable of reaching speeds up to 19 mph.

Aside from the Pi, the skateboard is equipped with a 3,200W brushless motor, an electric speed controller, and a 22V LiPo battery, all of which are housed inside two protective boxes underneath.

As for control, a Bluetooth-connected Wiimote takes care of the board’s pace and acceleration. You can watch the Raspberry Pi Guy cruise around Cambridge with his DIY board in the video below!
