Back in 2013, our friends at Bare Conductive successfully crowdfunded an Arduino-compatible board capable of transforming almost any material or suface into a sensor. Fast forward a few years and the team is back on Kickstarter with an all-new kit designed to magically convert any piece of paper into a touch-sensitive lamp.

The Electric Paint Lamp Kit enables makers of any ability to construct, customize, and control three beautiful paper lamps using electrically conductive paint along with the just-released, USB-powered Light Up Board.

The product is a direct response to the countless community light-based projects using Bare Conductive’s Electric Paint. This kit, however, now gives everyone the ability to turn their designs into functional buttons, which operate the Light Up Board’s six LEDs functioning as either a touch, dimmer, or proximity lamp.

And thanks to the Electric Paint Lamp Kit’s super easy connector system, lamps can be crafted out of most sheet materials such as plastic. This allows ambitious, more experienced makers to personalize their lights for use in their homes, offices, workshops, or wherever else.

Currently live on Kickstarter for about $43 ($36 for early backers), the kit will ship with everything needed to bring their lamps to life including Electric Paint, the Light Up Board, paper templates, and a micro USB cable.
