Arduino IoT Cloud Remote Launches on iPhone, Android to Follow, Offering Remote Monitoring, Control

Designed for remote monitoring and control of Arduino IoT Cloud dashboards, the app is free to download now for iOS and Android.

Arduino has announced the launch of the Arduino IoT Cloud Remote app, now available for both iPhone and Android, giving users the ability to monitor and control their Internet of Things projects from a smartphone in-the-field.

"The Arduino IoT Cloud Remote app gives you with the ability to access, monitor or control your IoT projects regardless of the time or place," the team notes. "In the field: You can read the data from your soil sensors or start your irrigation system directly from anywhere. In the factory: Constant visibility of the state of your manufacturing process status, with the ability to control your automation remotely. In the home: Monitor your home automation systems, check your previous or actual energy consumption from the convenience of your sofa."

"The addition of the Arduino IoT Cloud Remote app to access, monitor, and control dashboards on the go via your phone is the final piece of the jigsaw."

Designed for use with existing or new Arduino IoT Cloud dashboards, the app allows users to gather and display data from numerous devices as well as offering control functionality — mimicking, effectively, the standard web-based Arduino IoT Cloud interface, but tweaked for the tall-and-narrow screen of a smartphone.

The Arduino IoT Cloud Remote app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
