There’s just something about infinity mirrors that are absolutely mesmerizing, and friend Jeremy Cook’s is no different — his recent project features an RGB strip that shines inside of a pair of one-way mirrors. This configuration allows light from the strip to shine back and forth between the two pieces of reflective material to form what appears to be a light that stretches to infinity.
An Arduino tells each of the four lights to shine in sequence, which are then multiplied by the mirrors to form what looks like a portal to another dimension.
Cook goes over the build in his video, including a rather “colorful” explanation of how this type of mirror works, and ends up with several views of this beautifully strange contraption around 11:00 mark.
