3D-Printed Star Wars-Themed Luggable Field Terminal Powered by a Raspberry Pi 4

Maker Maz_Baz's Rebel Pathfinder Raspberry Pi computer is designed for simple tasks.

Redditor Maz_Baz has created a Star Wars-themed, easy-to-carry case for a Raspberry Pi computer that's designed to perform simple tasks like coding, word processing, and browsing the web.

The field terminal has a Raspberry Pi 4 at its heart, along with the Miuzei Raspberry Pi 4 Touchscreen with a case and fan, a Jelly Comb foldable Bluetooth keyboard, and an Anker PowerCore 13000mAh two-port portable charger for the power supply.

One of the most interesting pieces of hardware implemented is the Miuzei 4" IPS full-angle touchscreen game display with a maximum resolution of 800Γ—480 pixels that supports HDMI input with a touch pen.

Since the size of the terminal was rather large, Maz_Baz had split up the model into several parts, which were then assembled after being 3D-printed. The print files are provided on the Thingiverse website.

"The monitor prints will house the entire LCD screen/Raspberry Pi combo," Maz_Baz notes. "It has an L shaped USB C connection that is attached to the bottom of the monitor and needs to be able to clear the bottom during swing movements."
