Automotive hacker “eratosthene” loves his 2007 Toyota Corolla. At nearly 200K miles, it hasn’t given him any problems, but after 10 years it was in need of an entertainment system upgrade. He’d wired in an AUX input several years ago so an iPod could be used, but hey, it’s 2017, why not go all out?

Go all out he did, installing a Raspberry Pi 2 unit in the dash in place of the stock stereo, along with an equalizer mounted under the AC control. Some additional software had to be added to his Pi build to adapt it to car use, including Kodi Resume so that it would save the current state when he powers off his car, and Estouchy Skin to allow for, you guessed it, touchscreen control.

The resulting display looks really good, and the three USB inputs as well as the AUX input and equalizer mounted below should be extremely useful! You can see more of this hack on Imgur here.
