I have started this project with a primary aim to replace the switch of a calling bell with an auto-detection mechanism.
The module basically consists of an infrared proximity sensor, which generates a train of pulses for a duty cycle of 35%. It also has the ability to remain shut for about 10 seconds after detecting an obstacle.
The said module comes with a BUILT-IN CAPABILITY of handling loads ranging from light electronic loads like anLED bulb to heavy electrical loads like ceiling fan, etc. Thus, extending its capability of being used in a wide variety of products like the automatic basin, automatic urinal to even automatic door opening systems.
The absence of any micro-controller and use of only analog and digital circuitry makes the product quite cheaper as well as quite reliable for using 24x7.
