With the various different units of measurement we need to know when traveling to another country, it’s hard to keep track of how to convert numbers. ConvertMe is a mobile application that converts temperatures between Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin so if you’re an American conversing with someone in France about the weather, you will know exactly how warm is 30°C. Simply type in the number you would like to convert by tapping on the text box under “Convert this temperature”and tap the blue bar to exit the keyboard when you’re done. Remember to pick the units to convert from and to. There are two sets of buttons, located on the left. The top set under “Convert this temperature” are for the temperature you are trying to convert and the bottom under “to this temperature” are for the units you are converting into. If you don’t pick, the app will set both to Fahrenheit by default. The temperature the application calculates is rounded to an integer, since on a daily basis, we usually don't need to feel the difference between 43.5 and 43.9 degrees Fahrenheit. You can play around and click on the different buttons or change the input number and the answer in the output box will change as you change your options without having to click a convert button. Included are a series of screenshots to demonstrate the process of using this application.
