Hardware components

Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 5V/16MHz
SparkFun Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 5V/16MHz
×2
RFID reader (generic)
Any (small) reader will suffice, as long as the antenna is made of wire, not embedded in a board.
×1
SparkFun RFID Tag
Remember they have to be compatible, i.e. same frequency, with the reader
×1
Li-Ion Battery 1000mAh
Li-Ion Battery 1000mAh
Or similar
×1
SparkFun LiPo Charger Basic - Micro-USB
SparkFun LiPo Charger Basic - Micro-USB
Or similar. The USB input socket is not neccessary, yet useful if the other way of charging fails.
×1
Step-Up Voltage Regulator - 5V
SparkFun Step-Up Voltage Regulator - 5V
Or similar - I used one with a built-in USB socket and cut it out.
×1
NRF24L01 board
×2
Reed switch
×1
Vibration Motor
×1
RobotGeek Relay
RobotGeek Relay
Or any other relay module, or just a relay with a transistor.

LED (generic)
LED (generic)
I used yellow and green for status and "low battery" notifications at the receiver.
×2
12V Power Supply
depending on your electronic lock or other actuator you use, more than 600mA might be neccessary.
×1
Electronic lock
this is just an example of an output for your setup - this might be a regular push/pull solenoid, a simple electromagnet or anything else you want.
×1
DC Barrel Jack
Anything that fits your power supply's output.
