Maker “SmorkAudio” has created a rad retro arcade-style synthesizer/sequencer with a wide control over waveform, pitch, mode, and harmony. The core of the design employs direct digital synthesis via a Teensy dev board. The synthesizer enables its user to pick from any key (C-Bb) and a variety of musical scales (church modes, pentatonic, whole tone, etc.) to map the one octave keyboard to.

Additionally, all the notes in the chosen scale have the option to have added harmony (i.e. 3rd, 5ths, triads, etc.). As with most synthesizers, there’s also an ADSR envelope and the ability to select between the 4 basic waveforms (and custom types) along with a built-in arpeggiator with different modes of operation. Even cooler, there’s an infinity LED display as well as FX (filters, tremolo, reverb, chorus, and fuzz).

If this all sounds awesome, wait until you see it in action below.
