This Temperature Logger iOS App turns any MetaWear board into an environment tracker. Your MetaWear device will behave as a temperature tracker and will record ambient temperature.
The code is fully open source so you are welcome to take it and make it your own.
The repository is available on Github here: https://github.com/mbientlab/TemperatureLogger
The App is also available for download directly from the Apple App Store, simply search for ‘MetaTemp': https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/metatemp/id944846974?ls=1&mt=8
The App will prompt users to connect to a MetaWear board, which the iOS device will retain in memory as a ‘paired device’. That means that if you happen to step away from your phone, your MetaWear will continue to behave as a temperature logger. The MetaWear is completely independent once it is configured and will start logging temperature data internally.
Once a MetaWear device has been paired, you can hit the refresh button on the upper right corner of the App and see your data update live on your Smartphone. Temperature is recorded each minute and displayed on the bar graph. If you swipe through the bar graph you can see the exact temperature at each interval.
Internally the MetaWear is logging temperature data and saving it to memory. When you hit the refresh button, the App and MetaWear sync up and the temperature data is downloaded to the App. Data is processed and then graphed.
