A bot framework empowers developers to build bots that support different types of interactions with users. We will explore conversation as a platform and focus on creating skills using the Microsoft Bot Framework. Then we’ll discuss how Cortana Skills Kit can help you easily create intelligent, personalized voice-enabled experiences for users. We use Language Understanding Intelligent Services (LUIS) and payment systems to build a sample bot-enabled vending machine.


Ron Dagdag is a Microsoft MVP for Visual Studio and Development Technologies. He is a community leader with expertise for all things .NET, C#, Web Development in Node and Javascript, In addition, he builds HoloLens and Mixed Reality applications. During the day, Ron is a Senior Software Engineer at thyssenkrupp Elevator where he supports developers with their Classic Windows, Universal Windows, Web and 3D application development. On the side, Ron is a Hackster Ambassador and Littlebits Chapter Leader in Dallas organizing workshop events. Creates resources for developer with creative projects at (, He is passionate to learn about convergence of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Machine Learning and Internet of Things.
