Toy hacks with Node.js [Hackster]
Have you ever seen a vintage electronic toy and wished you could add contemporary features like machine learning or internet connectivity? In this talk, developer Rachel Weil will share a few projects that combine Node.js with hacking old electronic toys and a sense of humor. Weil will walk through a few of the projects she's built with landline telephones, microcontrollers, 8-bit game consoles, and more.
Rachel Weil is an experimental designer-turned-developer whose work offers alternate visions of computer and video game history. She is active in the indie games community and works as a technical evangelist at Microsoft in Austin, Texas.
