Your unicorn has special needs that a normal dog or cat doesn't have. The Unicorn Pet Sitter app takes care of all that and more for your special friend!
The app uses 3 hardware sensor simulators for mood, caloric intake, and weight. This information is calculated and displayed both in the Kinoma Create and the iPhone app. The mood can also be visualized by the background color of the Kinoma Create and by the background color of the mood box in the iPhone app.
Pulled data also changes what is displayed in the iPhone app to help the user understand the information. Text labels are changed to red when the unicorn is overweight or underweight, and also when they are unhappy. The poptart icon also shows various amounts of bites being taken out of it depending on how much the unicorn has eaten. Finally, the face icon changes between a happy face and a sad face based on the happiness level of the pet.
Based on this information, the user has control of the hardware simulator through three buttons: (1) Start exercise (2) Feed poptarts (3) Play music. Exercising decreases the pet's weight, feeding increases the weight and caloric intake, and playing music increases the unicorn's happiness. The action being taken is also updated in the status display of the Kinoma Create.
Health tips are also given in the bottom part of the app, where corrective action is recommended. For example, when the pet is overweight it will recommend exercise, and when the pet is underweight the tip will recommend feeding it.
In the next iteration of the app, some new features could include:
- sleep tracking
- connecting and sharing to UnicornBook for all your pet's social needs
- webcamming/unicorn selfie taking
