The Hexiwear Ultiate Model Rocket Flight Computer Project:
Objectives:
1) The standard misson payload package will feature a 3D printed payload module to enclose and protect the Hexiwear device on its trips aboard payload capable model rockets. Essential flight data will be recorded using the gyro, accelerometer and alitmeter, then transmitted back to a mobile device using the onboard BLE after flight for analysis.
2) The basic misson module will be extended by creating a reduced footprint docking station to enclose the hexiwear base package and allow the docking of additional click boards to allow for variable mission specific payloads!
Stretch Objectives:
These objectives will be will developed once objectives 1 & 2 have been achieved.
1) A customized mobile device interface to access the Hexiwear IOT platform using the Evothings(www.evothings.com) platform.
2) Post launch audio, visual and BLE wireless tracking to ensure prompt rocket recovery post mission.
3) A secure BLE rocket launch function.
4) In flight, dynamic autonomous stabilization to ensure the highest straight and true flights.
