The challenge
Hi Participants,
THANK YOU ALL again for participating in the Seeed for Earth 2018 Contest. We received over 60 very qualified entries for this 1-month event, and they were all very inspiring and amazing!
Because of the quantity and quality of the entries, we had to extend the judging period as the judges needed more time to review the projects. After some really difficult decision-making processes, we finally have the results for our Top 15 projects based on the ranking of accumulated scores from the judges （CONGRATS to these 15 projects!）:
Over the upcoming week, we’ll collect the mailing addresses from the winners, and send out all the prizes by June 8 (Pacific Time).
Thank you all again for taking part in our first-ever Seeed for Earth Contest, and for your continuing support for Seeed. We'll be hosting more contests in the future with hackster.io and other partners, so please stay tuned!

Hi all contest participants,
We’re sorry that we will delay the time for announcing the winners. As we’ve got 60 projects submissions in total, the time the judges and we spent in reviewing all the projects is longer than we assumed. So we reschedule the date for winner announcement to June 1st, 2018 (Pacific Time). Sincere apologies for the delay.

April 22, 2018 marks the 48th annual Earth Day, a day for civic participation and demonstration of support for environment protection. We are excited to announce that Seeed and Hackster have teamed up to lead this 'Seeed for Earth 2018' Contest, calling for environmental-themed projects to inspire our community to invent things that will benefit our beautiful planet!
We're giving away 15 awesome Seeed & Hackster-powered prizes for the top submissions:
- Top prize: One round-trip flight ticket (economy class) from your city to Shenzhen during Maker Faire Shenzhen and Seeed Conference in November 2018, and lodging accommodation for 4 nights.
- 2nd to 5th prizes: one Amazon Alexa Echo each (provided by Hackster).
- 10 Projects of Merit: One Seeed Environmental Kit to each of the additional 10 top projects (one kit each, customs taxes not included. See list for product details).
So if there is something in the environment that you are passionate about - climate, energy, water, soil, air, or even food, this is your chance to make a project about it! It can also be a previous project related to environmental issues. You can work on your own or with a team to develop your project.
