For the project 2 assignment, I want to address the issue of students' tuition fees and time spent in class. I have had many courses where professors did not necessarily teach the class but instead share or talk about something completely unrelated and/or go off into tangents. The idea behind the project is that it will measure time, specifically the time that is not spent talking about something related to the course. A student should be able to use this device and turn it on, which will record the amount of time not being spent on the specific task or topic until turned off when the attention is brought back. For example, after every 5 minutes the light turns green indicating that a set amount of time has passed. This would represent the amount of money that has been "wasted" since it was time not related to what should be taught in the class. This is meant to be satirical piece on how students' tuition fees do not seem to reflect the same quality of their education.For the sake of the length of the video, I tested this with 5 seconds. There is also a button that acts as a reset button that will allow the user to reset the time recorded back to 0.
The materials that I used for this project were cardboard, duct tape, cloth fabric, hole puncher, and a pen.
