Annoying Last Xmas Picture Frame

I built this to make people in my office happy. The idea was to build something like the "days without accident" panel. Every time somebody pushes the button, the counter resets and Last Xmas will play.

Build instructions

Step 1: The Frame

I took an IKEA 3D Frame and took it apart: essentially it's a 4 mm Plexiglas panel and a DinA4 self adhesive paper with printed text on it.

Step 2: The PCB

I used the toner thermo-transfer method to make the PCB's.

Step 3: Counter and mp3 module.

I made 2 PCB's - one for the electronic counter with the ATmega328 CPU and one for the MP3 module WTV020-SD-16P and the amplifier. The counter increments each 24 hours.

Step 4: All in

A piece of red plastic foil for the display and a piece of Mosquito cover for the speaker (with a few test holes). All the stuff fixed inside.

Step 5: Ready to annoy

It has been installed for 2 years now, and it's a pain! 25 Days is the highest number it's ever reached to this day.
