Smart_Helmet

I have embedded the SmartEdge Agile into the helmet as a prototype.

It has the following features:

1. The proximity sensor is facing inwards to detect if the user is wearing the helmet or not. It then sends a notification to the user phone to remind him to wear the helmet.

2. If the temperatures are high(>40 degree Celsius), it then sends a notification to the user mobile to have some water to prevent dehydration.

3. And finally, the most appealing feature of this helmet is the accident detection through predictive maintenance. If an anomaly(spike) is detected then the Brainium portal sends the users current location(from the mobile phone) to the emergency contacts via an email.

The Brainium portal is set as trigger on the IFTTT platform. I wrote a JavaScript code to override action fields and skip actions whenever necessary depending on the data source.
