Description:
The Solar You application converts age and weight from one planet to another. To start the program, the user has to click on the Solar You icon in the application folder. The icon is a square picture with a picture of the sun. Once the program is run, screen displays an age text box, a weight text box, and two drop down menus for the originating planet and the age and weight of the planet to compute to. Only the age field is necessary, the weight can be kept empty. Both spinners are preset to the planet Mercury. When the user has completed his inputs, he clicks on the compute button, which displays a string of his age and weight in the new planet. All outputs are rounded to two decimal places. When the age is displayed, both the year and days are shown. Additionally, a picture of the planet will show up below that if the user is in portrait mode. The image does not show in landscape mode. I included this part to help fill up some empty spaces in the portrait mode. If the user enters in a negative number, the output will request that the user make his inputs positive. If the user does not enter an age, the output will ask the user to input an age. If a user does not enter a weight, just an output of the age will show.
