Free Speech Movement App is a project to celebrate 50th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement for Civil Rights in Berkeley.
Description:
The app opens with a button to install an applet onto the Qualcomm Toq App and generate six cards on the Qualcomm Smart Watch.
These six cards, each contains the names and photos of one of six important figures of the Free Speech Movement that happened 50 years ago.
When a user carries his/her phone across Sproul Plaza, the application on the phone will send a notification onto the watch with a message including one of the name of the six figures mentioned above.
The user then navigate to the applet on the watch and open the corresponding card that match the name on the notification.
When the card is opened, the application will automatically turn on the drawing interface for the user to complete the drawing request mentioned in the opened card.
The drawing application allows the user to choose four colors: red, green, blue, black to draw and an eraser.
Upon finishing the drawing, the user can upload the picture onto his/her Flickr account with the tag "cs160fsm".
As a reward for participating in the project, the user will receive a card with a picture from Flickr with the tag "cs160fsm" on his/her Qualcomm Toq Smart Watch.
